- 1 cup rice
- 1/2 cup urad dal
- 1/2 cup moong dal
- 1/4 cup channa dal
- 1/2 cup curd
- 2 green chilli
- 1 inch ginger pieces
- 2 tbs seasame seeds
- to taste Salt according
- 1/2 tbs turmeric powder
- 1/2 tbs red chilli powder
- 1/4 tbs Asafoetida
- Oil as per need
- leaves Few kari
- 1 tbs funnel seeds
- 1 cup grated lauki
- 1 tbsp Sugar
Steps to make to make Gujrati handvo
- Wash and soak all dal and rice about 4 hour

- Now make smooth batter into grinder add green chilli and ginger piece


- Add curd and rest for about 6 hours or overnight for better fermentation.
- Now mix salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,sugar grated lauki and mix well.


- In a kadai add oil when hot add Asafoetida, mustard seeds,kari leaves,seasame seeds when cracked add batter and cover with lid and flip it now cook both sides and check with toothpicks if clear remove it on plate and cut into slices and serve with chatni.
