  18. 1/2 tsp Dhania Jeera / coriander , cumin Powder
  19. 3 tsp Biryani Masala
  20. To taste Salt
  21. 1/2 cup Green Coriander Leaves chopped
  22. 1/4 cup Mint leaves roughly chopped
  23. 1/4 cup Fried Onions
  24. 2 tbsp Saffron Water
  25. 2 cups Water

Instructions to make to make Veg Biryani

  1. Soak basmati rice in water for 30 mins and then remove in stainer.
  2. In a large pressure cooker, heat up the ghee on medium flame. Add jeera, Bay leaf, star anise, cloves, green cardamoms and black peppers. Saute for a minute then add finely chopped onions. Cook till it turns translucent and then add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute and then add all vegetables. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Lower the flame and add curd. Also add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, biryani masala and salt. Mix everything well.
  4. Cover the pressure cooker with the lid and allow it to cook on low flame for 25 to 30 mins.
  5. Let the pressure cooker cool down. Serve hot biryani with Salad or raita.
